2, the player database was updated and enhanced :-). The CM2E 97/98 database had a whopping 20,000 players in it compared to the 2,000 in the previous CM2. All the competition rules were increased.
3, there is a signing on fee that you must offer to players when buying them.(This was bugged in the unpatched version)
4, a pre game data editor was included from the start of the game so that you could easily make player updates as it was the last CM2
5, while the scores of matches are calculated they appear in the top right hand corner of your screen. This does not slow down the calculating of scores.
6, you were notified of any major happenings in football. These are Shock Results, Big Player Transfers and Major injuries to big international or former international players.
7, the in game text commentary was improved.
8, loads more match pictures were incorporated into the game. These also changed during international tournaments at the end of the season to international pictures. About 300 were included with the game and loads more can be downloaded off of the internet.
9, you can pick your direct free kick, corner kick and penalty kick takers.
10, player histories for major foreigners are introduced.
11, there are U21 international squads included in the game.
12, some of the cheats that were came because of bugs were stopped.
13, the game is harder.
14, the scouts don't recommend as many people as they used to.
